2. What data we collect

Bookings: name, email address, phone number, address, number of guests, dates of stay, booking details and messages related to your stay.
Payments: payment information is processed by our payment provider Stripe. We do not store full card details.
Contact form and email: name, email address, phone number and the content of your message.
Website use: technical information such as IP address and browser type, which our website platform needs to show the site securely.

3. Why we use your data and on what legal basis

To handle your booking, stay, payments and guest communication (performance of a contract).
To answer your questions and requests (legitimate interest, or steps taken at your request before a contract).
To meet our accounting and tax obligations (legal obligation).
To keep the website secure and working, for example spam protection on the contact form (legitimate interest).

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell it.

4. Who processes your data

We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf:

Beds24 – booking system
Stripe – card payments
Squarespace – website hosting and contact form
Google – map on the Contact page, spam protection (reCAPTCHA) on the contact form and web fonts
Booking channels such as Booking.com and Airbnb, if you book through them (their own privacy policies apply)

Some of these providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. In those cases the transfer is protected by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.

5. How long we keep your data

Booking and payment data: as long as required by Finnish accounting law (up to 6 years after the end of the financial year), then deleted.
Contact form messages and emails: as long as needed to handle your request, at most 2 years.

6. Cookies

The website uses only cookies that are necessary for the site and its security to work. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. Embedded services (Google Maps, reCAPTCHA) may set their own cookies when you use them.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

access the personal data we hold about you
have incorrect data corrected
have your data deleted, unless we are required by law to keep it
object to or restrict the processing of your data
receive your data in a machine-readable format (data portability)
